Jersey Map - Your Guide to Jersey
Jersey is divided into various areas known as
parishes. There are a total of 12 parishes on the Jersey map. All 12 parishes have a coast line.
The northern part of the island is a bit rough with rocky cliffs, a number of
beaches and fishing spots. The southern coast of the Jersey Map is where most of the activity on the island is concentrated. This is mainly
because the capital city of the Island, Saint Helier is positioned there. St. Brelade, which is a busy port, is
located there also.
The eastern part of the Jersey map is where the Mount Orgueil Castle can be
found. The Gorey Harbour is situated there too, meaning that there are moorings and Berths available for visitors
to stay in. In the west is St. Ouben’s Bay. Though a large part of the western Jersey map is usually nature reserve
areas.
The central part of the Jersey map consists of the inland areas. Here,
countryside’s offer quiet scenery. Agriculture is widely practiced, so a number of farms and villages are present
in this area.
One can get around the Jersey map through walking and Jersey cycling. There are paths specifically set aside for this.

There are number of places to go to and a number of activities scattered all
over the Jersey map that visitors can participate in.
Saint Helier is one of the places that visitors can explore on the Jersey
Map. It has a lot of entertainment during the day and at night also. There are clubs, theatres, cinemas and
restaurants that individuals can attend at night since these places are not closed early at night. During the day,
visitors can visit sites such as Fort Regent, exhibitions and museums and the Royal Square.
In St. Lawrence Parish, visitors can explore the Jersey War Tunnels which
were used by the Germans during war time as an underground hospital. Since it’s an important site on the Jersey
map, it is open to public viewing. It also has a beach.


The orgueill Castle and St. Catherine’s Bay St. Martin are found in St. Martin on the Jersey
map. St. Peter Parish boasts of having the Jersey Airport and the wildlife park. It’s big and has a number of shops
and stores for shopping. It hosts the amaizin Maze.
St. Brealde boasts of the best beaches and water sport activities on the
Jersey map. It also has La Cotte point, which is a pre-historic site and St. Aubin which was the Island’s first
capital. St. Mary Parish has the Hole of Devils Hole which is a cave and the Greve de la Lecq Barracks which offers
a wide range of accommodation.
St. Saviour is where most of the festivals are held on the Jersey map such as
film festivals, park festivals and musical dances through the summer. When in St. Clement, be aware of the tides as
you can get stranded since the tides go in far into the coast. Go to St. John’s if you want to see the wolf
caves.
